Inger Griffin, who now lives and creates in Savannah, Georgia, was born, raised, and educated in Sweden. She has worked with fibers and colors for most of her life. After her first career working with Scandinavian Interior Design, she chose to actively pursue her passion for creating fiber art.

Her sweaters were featured in Ornament Magazine in October of 1996, and in Belle Armoire magazine (Volume 1, 2002), (Winter, 2004), and (Autumn, 2004). One of Inger's art bags was also featured in the promotional material for the First Annual Snag-A-Bag Auction of Skirt Magazine held in October of 2006.

When asked about her art, Inger says, "Three things interact and reach a balance: color, texture, and shape. There is a special feeling as the creative process works and a satisfaction when a piece reaches completion."

Her latest exhibition was at Off the Wall gallery in Savannah, as a featured artist in the show “Material Girls in a Material World.” In 2007 Inger organized the first annual Gordonston Art Show, a conglomerate of local Savannah artists.

At present, her work is available from Handwoven Originals in Santa Fe, New Mexico. You can also contact Inger directly at fiberlove@joeleegriffin.com.
